ViaCyte – helping to develop a cure for Diabetes
ViaCyte, a leader in stem cell-derived cell replacement therapies, performed the first-ever human trial of a treatment that researchers hope will cure diabetes to free people from painful and frequent insulin injections, strict diet regimens, constant blood sugar monitoring and serious chronic health conditions associated with the disease.
Life Connections Wellness Center
LCWC provides support in the form of donations, employment opportunities and counseling services to the local community. They also offer wellness education programs and specialized nutrition products.
Hunterdon Drug Awareness Program
This community-based agency offers treatment, intervention, and prevention programs to individuals in the greater Hunterdon County, NJ area. HDAP helps their clients confront their concerns and problems and work toward positive goals.
Fisher House Foundation
This unique private-public partnership supports America’s military by donating “comfort homes” at major military and VA medical centers. These homes are provided to military family members at no cost, enabling them to stay close to loved ones while they are hospitalized.
Spina Bifida Resource Network
Spina bifida is a birth defect affecting the spine which can cause a range of physical and neurological disabilities. It is one of the most common permanently disabling birth defects in the United States. SBRN’s mission is to empower the lives of people living with spina bifida through direct service programs, advocacy, and education about the prevention of spina bifida.
This annual family-friendly music festival is held during Labor Day Weekend for young people throughout the tri-state and Delaware Valley region. It offers an opportunity to socialize, meet new friends, and enjoy great bands, solo artists, and inspirational speakers in a safe, spiritual, and drug/alcohol-free environment.
